Healing the Nervous System Through Connection

Numadelic Labs Collective is a 501(c)(3) research organization developing AI-augmented group therapy delivered through virtual reality and grounded in a decade of peer-reviewed science.

numadelic — from Latin numen (spirit) and Greek delos (to make visible): technologies that make the experience of deep interconnection visible and felt.

"A fantastic, novel, and innovative approach that breaks ground for a new generation of therapies."

How It Works

Every numadelic experience integrates three essential elements that, together, create the conditions for deep connection to the self, others, and something greater.

Group

Every numadelic experience is shared. Participants co-inhabit a virtual space in small groups along with a facilitator, fostering relational dynamics that promote psychological safety. Connection isn't a side effect — it's the mechanism.

Embodied

Participants move, breathe, and gesture in VR. Their arm movements guide energy between bodies. This embodied engagement deepens presence and strengthens the felt sense of being in the experience.

Immersive

The numadelic aesthetic dissolves familiar reference points. Without the visual cues that normally reinforce ego boundaries — faces, clothing, social markers — participants encounter themselves and each other as energetic essences.

Catalytic Funding, Outsized Impact

Connection is foundational. Its absence underlies anxiety, depression, and the conditions that overwhelm our mental health system. Nearly one billion people meet criteria for anxiety or depression. The dominant response — one clinician, one patient — treats disorders of human connection in isolation. It cannot scale because the model is structurally mismatched to the condition.

We are building the Intelligent Social Facilitator: AI that tracks multiple participants' nervous systems simultaneously, adapting light, sound, and spatial dynamics to sustain the conditions for healing. No human facilitator can perceive six nervous systems at once. The ISF can.

Early funders shape how this technology develops and who it reaches first.
